Care and maintenance

How to keep your granite, marble or quartz countertop neat in terms of appearance and area of use. Granite and quartz worktops are the best choice as these are durable and can withstand the most. For worry-free daily use and to keep the worktop neat, it is useful to know a little about material quality and maintenance. It takes no more than 30 minutes a year to keep your countertop in perfect condition. During transport and installation, we support the stone surfaces in a way that will avoid breakage, but you can still damage the stone by accident or careless behavior. This then applies mainly to worktop edges, which can peel off as a result of a powerful blow. The stone can be repaired but the end result will not be the same and we also want to inform that such damage is not covered by our warranty. We do not recommend climbing / sitting on the worktop, then for example to reach a high kitchen cabinet. The worktop is more fragile at weaker points - especially around the sink and hob - the entire weight of an adult can cause the worktop to crack. We always recommend using a cutting board on all our worktops, regardless of whether some stones are so hard that they will not be damaged by sharp objects, this does not apply to marble. The surface of the worktop is sensitive to various abrasives: therefore do not use a scrub for cleaning and make sure that the cloth you use is clean, as accidental grains of sand can damage the surface. Daily care and discoloration: Nothing specific is required for the daily care of your worktop. The stone can be cleaned with a clean damp cloth and, if necessary, dish soap or detergent for glass dissolved in water. When cleaning marble, acidic cleaners should be avoided. It is always best to clean the surface immediately after spills to avoid strong discoloration - the longer the substance remains on the surface, the greater the possibility of discoloration. With lighter stone surfaces you should be more careful than with dark ones. Marble requires the most care! Be careful with substances such as wine, coffee, tea, (alcohol in general), oil, sour fruits and juices. Immediately wash off the stain with a wet cloth and wipe with a dry cloth.
